What is Circuit Breaker? (Circuit Breaker kya hota hai?):

Circuit Breaker ek automatic electrical safety device hota hai jo current ke flow ko monitor karta hai. Jab current normal limit se zyada ho jata hai (jaise overload ya short circuit ke time), to circuit breaker trip ho jata hai – yaani power supply ko automatically band kar deta hai.

🔧 Types of Circuit Breakers:

  • MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) – gharon mein use hota hai
  • MCCB (Molded Case Circuit Breaker) – industrial level pe use hota hai

  • RCBO (RCCB + MCB) – dono protection deta hai

⚙️ Circuit Breaker kaise kaam karta hai?:

Circuit breaker ke andar ek bimetal strip ya magnetic coil hoti hai.

  • Jab overcurrent hota hai, to bimetal strip heat ho kar bend hoti hai ya magnetic coil activate hoti hai.
  • Ye mechanism internal switch ko trigger karta hai.
  • Switch trip hota hai, aur circuit open ho jata hai – yaani current ka flow band.

Aap manually bhi switch ko ON/OFF kar sakte ho jab zarurat ho.

  • Electrical Field mein:

Kahi baar barish ke time mein pani wiring tak pahuch jata hai. Agar RCCB laga ho, to earth leakage detect karke breaker trip ho jata hai – jisse shock lagne ka risk kam ho jata hai.

Example 3:

Industries mein MCCB use kiya jata hai, jahan heavy machinery hoti hai. Ye breakers machines ko overload se bachaate hain.
